September Ball 2009 raises an outstanding £45k
Yorkshire Cancer Centre Ball revellers have thwarted the credit crunch and boosted our aim to improve patient care by raising a staggering £45,000 in just one night!
Over 350 guests attended this year’s ever-glamourous black tie gala dinner at Harrogate’s Majestic Hotel and succeeded in reaching its primary fundraising goal – to purchase the innovative £40k Seednet Gold Cryotherapy System, a minimally invasive machine for the treatment of prostate and renal cancer.

Guests enjoyed a champagne reception; 4-course ‘Majestic’ dinner; dazzling cabaret entertainment from Australian trio, String Diva!; ‘close’up magic tricks from wandering magicians; fabulous raffle prizes; fascinating auction, fun casino, energetic dancing to Harrogate’s favourite Night Jars, ending with early morning bacon ’butties’ before 2.00 a.m. ‘carriages’.
